A 26-YEAR-OLD woman identified as Nacky Macthanisia Dalime Menatzick was murdered alongside her two-year-old daughter by a 13-year-old minor boy.

The 13-year-old, who is allegedly related to the boyfriend of the deceased, Menatzick, had been reading with the victims until a commotion broke out, resulting in the fatal stabbing incident.

According to Sakajengenga Ndaku, a community policing officer in the Omaheke Region, it is alleged that a commotion erupted between the deceased (Nacky) and the 13-year-old suspect inside the house.

“The deceased (Nacky) was with her two children and the suspect inside the house when the commotion started. The neighbour observed as the suspect closed the door to prevent anyone from getting out of the house. The neighbour observed as the mother (deceased) pushed her son through the window to seek help. The neighbour heard constant screams and outcry until there was silence,” Ndaku said.

She added that the six-year-old boy who got out through the window ran to Epako Police Station and informed the police, who then followed the boy to the scene.

“At the crime scene, the police observed the lifeless body of the boy’s mother and the injured younger sister of the boy. The younger sister was rushed to the hospital by ambulance but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries. The boy was taken to Epako Clinic, where he was attended to, as he was also stabbed. The bodies of the mother and the younger sister are at the Gobabis State Mortuary for further handling. The alleged murder weapon was found at the scene,” Ndaku said.

The deceased were identified as Nacky Macthanisia Dalime Menatzick (26) and her minor daughter, Delanie Esther Menatzick, aged three.
