THE Roads Fund Administration (RFA) officially handed over newly constructed staff accommodation in Oranjemund, marking a milestone in efforts to improve employee welfare and support sustainable local development.

The handover ceremony was attended by Oranjemund Constituency Councillor Nestor Sheimi, representatives of the Oranjemund Town Council, and other key stakeholders.

Representing Oranjemund Mayor H.W. Councillor Pankratius Kondjamba, Councillor Roseline Matthys welcomed guests and commended the RFA for investing in staff housing, describing the project as a demonstration of the institution’s commitment to employee wellbeing, operational efficiency and long-term development in the town.

Matthys said the provision of adequate and well-planned accommodation plays a critical role in boosting staff morale, retention and productivity, particularly in strategic areas such as Oranjemund. She added that projects of this nature also contribute to local economic activity and help strengthen partnerships within the community.

The Oranjemund Town Council congratulated the RFA leadership, contractors and all parties involved in the project, reaffirming its commitment to supporting institutions that invest in people and infrastructure for the benefit of both the local community and national development.
