A 25-YEAR-OLD Namibian woman was arrested after it is alleged that she fatally stabbed her 51-year-old father, Levi Afrikaner.

According to the weekend crime bulletin, the incident of murder happened in Epako on Thursday, 1 January 2026, at about 21:37, at Freedom Square and Eastern Pride Location, Gobabis.

It is alleged that she fatally stabbed her 51-year-old father, Afrikaner, once on the right side of the neck with a knife. It is further alleged that the suspect had an argument with her relatives over alcohol she had left in her room, before she started throwing stones and bottles towards the house and was stopped by her mother. It is further alleged that the mother left the house to look for her husband (the deceased), whom she met, and they walked together to the house. On their way, the suspect came running, confronted her parents, and stabbed the father to death.

The suspect was found at the crime scene, arrested, and detained at Gobabis Police Station.
