A BIZARRE incident was reported to the Namibian Police in Oshakati this week, in which a landlord allegedly raped a 21-year-old female tenant with the active assistance of his wife.

The incident occurred in the Oneshila informal settlement last month but was only reported to the police this week.

It is alleged that the male suspect committed the offence after his wife summoned the victim to the couple’s sleeping room and instructed her to engage in a sexual act with her husband against her will.

According to the police, the female suspect went as far as forcefully undressing the victim, thereby facilitating the commission of the offence, which is itself a serious crime.

The suspects have not yet been arrested.
